You are correct; it should be an E hardware revision, and it should be fine for your intended uses. Sent this back and now ill fair recede to the store and hopefully acquire a device that works I want a drive that supports disk quality scan with opti drive control, or nero.

So going to try my luck with dvd-drives. Did you find a drive yet? Replaced a 10 year old drive.

Or if downgrade even is possible if upgraded does not work. The drive arrived quickly and properly packaged. I might also be able to get an ihas LINK with maybe the kB buffer, but that webshop isnt too reliable so id like to stay away from it, unless… So here we have it. Other extra features would be inas124-04 appreciated too.

Similar to iHASB and a great choice for a good, inexpensive black sata ihass124-04 dvd burner. I may have gotten that backwards, but the info is still the same.
Unfortunately i built a unique system and the mobo only supports sata. Got this as a replacement for a worn-out DVD drive on my Dell desktop, and it installed extremely easily and works like a champ. Uhas124-04 bad i dont know which was the last revision, was it W?

They also told they can order an ihas for me, but no idea on the revision. X and W are basically the same, but X were typically lower spec versions of the W. Or making a gamble and order 04 version too and hoping it would be Inas124-04 or DU they used to sell DU in the past. Thank you for the replies Albert and bilditup1.
